It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (5/29/2017)

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly post to share what you recently finished reading, what you’re currently reading, and what you plan on reading next. This is a terrific meme that allows you to meet fellow bookworms and find new books to add to your ever-growing reading wish list.

This weekly post is hosted by Kathryn at Bookdate.

Happy Monday!
I’m posting this while on the road. We are on our way back home from Las Vegas. Our daughter turned 21, so we took a road trip to celebrate. I apologize for being a bit absent over the weekend. For the most part I disconnected myself from social media and spent some good quality time with my family.
We had a lot of fun celebrating her birthday and visiting with family. Last night 20 of us got together for a delicious Italian birthday meal. I can’t believe how fast time flies.

What I Read Last Week…

The Marsh King’s Daughter by Karen Dionne – This a fantastic, suspenseful read with a unique point of view. Helena was born in captivity and knows very little about the real world until her escape. (my full review)

Currently Reading…

Here and Gone by Haylen Beck – I’ve had very little time to read, so I’m not too far into this book yet, but I’m hoping it will be just as good as my last few mystery/thrillers. I’ve been on quite a roll!

My Cousin Rachel by Daphne Du Maurier – I decided to read a little bit of this book everyday in order to be done for the movie release in June. I’m finding it to be an enjoyable little mystery.

This Is How It Always Is by Laurie Frankel – I am progressing nicely in this book while on my morning walks. I cannot tell you how much I am enjoying this book! This audio book is done so well, I may actually be warming up to them.

The Last Child by John Hart – We have a 14-hour road trip Memorial Day weekend, so we picked up the CD’s to this book that I have had on my TBR list for a while now. This is a mystery that I thought both my husband and I would enjoy together.

Up Next…

Final Girls by Riley Sager or Seeing Red by Sandra Brown

Oh boy, I don’t know what’s next! I just acquired both of these and have been so excited to read them. I may just have to flip a coin to decide.

What are you reading this week?

Feel free to follow me on Goodreads, Twitter, and/or Facebook.

Happy Reading!

    1. I just finished Vile City, the more the story develops, the better it gets! I’m eager to read The Marsh King’s Daughter but I’ve got a few blog tour commitments first 😊

Tina, enjoy Final Girls, it’s a good one! 😊

  1. Congratulations on the big 21st birthday! I’ve turned the corner on audiobooks this year and now feel lost when I don’t have one going.
