Read All About It –
Look Who Has A New Book Coming Out!

I am always on the hunt for new books that I “must read” and new releases by my favorite authors. Rather than keeping these books all to myself I decided to make a blog post to share the good news with you.

*Please keep in mind, as most of the release dates are pretty far into the future, that the release date, cover, and even working title are not always set in stone.

Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter

Publication Date – 8/21/2018 (US & UK)

*I’ve been waiting for months for the cover reveal and it is stunning! I cannot wait to get my hands on this beauty.

Goodreads Synopsis

Andrea Cooper knows everything about her mother Laura. She’s knows she’s spent her whole life in the small town of Gullaway Island; she knows she’s never had any more ambition than to live a quiet life as a pillar of the community; she knows she’s never kept a secret in her life.

But one day, a trip to the mall explodes into violence and Andrea suddenly sees a completely different side to Laura.

Twenty-four hours later, Laura is in hospital, shot by an intruder who’s spent thirty years trying to track her down. Now, Andrea must go on a desperate journey to follow the breadcrumbs of her mother’s past. If she can’t uncover the secrets hidden there, there may be no future for either of them.

When the Lights Go Out by Mary Kubica

Jessie Sloane is on the path to rebuilding her life after years of caring for her ailing mother. She rents a new apartment and applies for college. But when the college informs her that her social security number has raised a red flag, Jessie discovers a shocking detail that forces her to question everything she’s ever known.

Finding herself suddenly at the center of a bizarre mystery, Jessie tumbles down a rabbit hole, which is only exacerbated by a relentless lack of sleep. As days pass and the insomnia worsens, it plays with Jessie’s mind. Her judgment is blurred, her thoughts hampered by fatigue. Jessie begins to see things until she can no longer tell the difference between what’s real and what she’s only imagined.

Meanwhile, twenty years earlier and two hundred and fifty miles away, another woman’s split-second decision may hold the key to Jessie’s secret past. Is Jessie really who she thinks she is? Has her whole life been a lie? The truth will shock her to her core…if she lives long enough to discover it.

  1. Great list! I have STILL not read anything by Karin Slaughter or Mary Kubica though I have a couple sitting on the shelf. I must get on that! The Lost Daughter looks great – I’m obsessed with a Romanov family. I’m reading I was Anastasia now. I’m going to be on the blog tour for Another Woman’s Husband in late summer. Princess Diana is another one of my obsessions so I’m really looking forward to that one too.

    1. How are you liking I Was Anastasia?
I am envious of your Another Woman’s Husband blog tour! That would have been so much fun and a great motivator to stop letting that book collect dust on the shelf.
I do hope you get to K Slaughter one day. They are fantastic!

  2. I’ll be reading all of these!! So excited! I’ve had the new Karin Slaughter ARC for almost 2 weeks now and can barely keep my hands off it!! It’s sooo tempting since it’s my most anticipated read (maybe of the year), but I have so many other ARCs that are published first, ugh! Cannot wait for the Mary Kubica book too; waiting on Netgalley to hopefully approve that one!
