Welcome to the sixth annual
NetGalley and Edelweiss Reading Challenge!
This challenge was created by Emily@Falling for YA, then moved to Katrina@Bookish Things & More (site no longer available) and now it resides here at Reading Between the Pages.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by the number of NetGalley/Edelweiss books sitting on your shelf to be read?
Have you lost your 80% rating and would love to get it back?
Do you want to challenge yourself to read more NetGalley/Edelweiss books?
If the answer is “YES” to any of these questions then this is the challenge for you!
Challenge Guidelines…
- The challenge runs from January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019. There is no deadline to signup.
- Everyone is welcome to participate – you do not need to have a blog.
- Any genre, release date, length, etc. counts, it just needs to be a book from NetGalley or Edelweiss.
- Books can count for more than one challenge that you are participating in.
- If you want to move up or down a level – go for it!
- The first day of each month I will post a monthly “link-up” for you to link your reviews. If you forget one month, no worries, just catch up the next month.
- Questions: Feel free to leave a comment below or use the contact page at the top of this post.
- Hashtag: #NGEW2019
The Levels…
Bronze – 10 Books
Silver – 25 Books
Gold – 50 Books
Platinum – 75 Books
Diamond – 100 Books
To Sign-Up…
- Make a blog post stating the level you intend to read in 2019 and link that blog post to Mr. Linky (blue box below).
- If you do not have a blog then state your reading level in the comments below and how you will be sharing your book reviews.
- Last but not least, be sure to come back every month and link in those reviews. This is really the hardest part – remember to do the monthly “link-ups”! Be sure to follow me via WordPress or email for my monthly link-up reminders.
I can’t wait to see all the fabulous books you will be reading in 2019!
Happy Reading!
Let’s get social…
Reblogged this on Macsbooks and commented:
I’ve been reading about this challenge the last few months and I’m excited to give this challenge a shot for 2019. I’m shooting for Platinum since the majority of books that I read are from NG and EW. That is half of my reading goal for 2019 so I think – hope – that I will be able to do this! What about you? Did you join the challenge last year? Why not join us for 2019? It will be fun!

That would be me :). She stopped blogging mid 2018 and that is when I picked it up and started posting the monthly “link-ups” for the book reviews.
I’m thrilled you will be signing up again!

Good job on getting this out. I’ll try to reblog on Thursday (I think I can, I think I can). Still trying to figure out if I made my 2018 challenge. I’m close. So close.

I have fallen so far behind in my reviews. I can’t remember how I happened upon this challenge but I’m definitely interested. I’m going to start off with the Bronze.

EEK, Tina, I only got five of the ten book reviews posted in December, which completed my platinum goal, which now appears closed. If I add to January, won’t count for 2018, and that’s when the review was posted. I signed up for platinum again, but what happens now for Dec and my 2018 goal. Why does the month close SO fast?

You did fantastic!! You read the books so I say you made platinum even if you didn’t get your reviews posted 🙂
Have a fantastic 2019!!
