My Opinion:

A magical story of strength, courage, and love!

Hannah has a serious heart condition that was diagnosed when she was young. Her mother walked out on her and her father (Tom) when she was just five years old. Acting as mom and dad, he is her biggest cheerleader and would do anything for her. Now that Hannah is a teenager she worries about her father and what he will do when she is no longer there to take care of him. Her mission is quite simple – to find someone special for her father to spend his life with.

Hannah is typical teenager. She thinks her dad is a dork, weird, and completely helpless without her. Tom’s world revolves around Hannah and the Willow Tree Theater that he manages. Hannah is growing up and her dad is struggling to see that she is not his “little girl” anymore. This relationship is not without growing pains, but it is heartwarming and completely relatable.

The Willow Tree Theater family…wow, what a great group of characters they are! They range from young to old and all come from different backgrounds, but their love of acting brings them together. They are passionate, caring, and the theater is extremely special to each of them. They give unconditional love and are a vital part of Hannah and Tom’s life. My favorite character is Margaret. She is eighty-one years old and is as spunky as ever. She is cynical, rude, and quirky. I love her wit and flare for the dramatics.

This is one of those stories that I liked from the very start, but didn’t love. As I read on I became more and more invested in the characters and their lives and I could not help but to fall for this touching story. I absolutely love this book!

I could go on and on, but I do not want to spoil this story for you. I highly recommended this incredible book, it is not one to be missed!
