Bookish Odds and Ends

Mid-Year Freakout Book Tag

This is the only tag I have ever participated in. It is a personal favorite!
I love looking back at the first half of the year and taking a walk down memory lane!

Best Book You Have Read So Far In 2019…

*So many great books thus far, but this one beats the others out by just a hair.
The Forgiving Kind
by Donna Everhart

Best Sequel You’ve Read So Far in 2019…

*Bending the rules here!! There is no way I can choose just one sequel, instead I am picking an entire series. I have been making my way though the Will Trent series by Karin Slaughter since January and let me tell you, it is fantastic! If you haven’t picked up a K. Slaughter book I ask you…what are you waiting for!?

Biggest Disappointment…

The Great Pretenders
by Laura Kalpakian

Biggest Surprise…

*I was in awe and completely captivated by this book!
Park Avenue Summer
 by Renée Rosen

Newest Fictional Crush…

I have no fictional crushes.

Newest Favorite Character…

Surprise, surprise, it is Will Trent!!
Triptych (Will Trent, #1) by Karin Slaughter

Book That Made You Cry…

*I wouldn’t say cry, but a touch teary eyed. This is an incredibly touching story!
Days of Wonder by Keith Stuart

Book That Made You Happy…

*This was a reread for me and I loved it every bit as much as I did when I was a preteen.
Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.
by Judy Blume

Favorite Book To Film Adaptation…

Yikes…I love reading and going to the movies, but I have yet to read one adaptation that has been brought to life on the big screen this year. Note to self – work on that the second half of the year!

Favorite Post You Have Done This Year…

*Not a post, but rather a series that I do monthly called – Read All About It! Look Who Has A New Book Coming Out.

Most Beautiful Book You’ve Bought This Year…

*I love this cover!
The Only Woman in the Room by Marie Benedict

What Books Do You Need To Read By The End Of The Year…

*Ugh there are so many! To name just a few…

That was fun! I have read some fantastic books and the year is only half over. I cannot wait to see what the second half will bring. I encourage you to participate and take a look at your year so far!

  1. I enjoyed reading your answers! I can’t wait to meet Will Trent (I’m hoping to have time in the second half of the year), and I’m hoping to read The Passengers some time soon as well… And I can’t wait for the new Robert Bryndza.
