I am off to a slow start this year, but better late then never. Here are the reading challenges that I plan on participating in this year.
The Historical Fiction Reading Challenge is hosted by Passages to the Past.
This is one of my favorite reading challenges and my third year participating!
- In a nutshell – you pick a reading level based upon the number of historical fiction books you think you will read between January 1st, 2020 and December 31st, 2020.
- Each month she will make a post for you to link-up your book reviews.
- Please see the complete rules here.
The Levels
20th Century Reader – 2 books
Victorian Reader – 5 books
Renaissance Reader – 10 books
Medieval – 15 books
Ancient History – 25 books
Prehistoric – 50+ books
* I will once again be going for Medieval!

The NetGalley and Edelweiss Reading Challenge
is hosted here on Reading Between the Pages.
- The challenge will run from January 1st, 2020 – December 31st, 2020.
- Any genre, release date, length, and so on counts as long as it comes from Edelweiss or NetGalley.
- Each month link up the book reviews.
- No deadline to sign up.
- Please see the complete rules here.
The Levels
Bronze – 10 Books
Silver – 25 Books
Gold – 50 Books
Platinum – 75 Books
Diamond – 100 Books
I am going for Silver!

I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in in the The Official TBR Pile Challenge for the past two years, but the host of this challenge has decided to no longer host it. I need all the motivation I can get to keep reading books from my backlist, so I decided to continue on with this challenge on my own.
The goal is simple, read 12 books that have a publication date of 2018 or earlier.
The Books…
- Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah (2010)
- The Address by Fiona Davis (2017)
- Black-Eyed Susans by Julia Heaberlin (2015)
- And So It Begins by Rachel Abbott (2018)
- Iron Lake by William Kent Krueger (1999)
- Deep Dirty Truth by Steph Broadribb (2018)
- Side by Side by Jenni L. Walsh (2018)
- The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris (2018)
- Before I Let You Go by Kelly Rimmer (2018)
- The House Across the Street by Lesley Pearse (2018)
- A Boy Made of Blocks by Keith Stuart (2016)
- Rust & Stardust by T. Greenwood (2018)
The Alternatives…
-
- The Alice Network by Kate Quinn (2017)
- My Sister’s Grave by Robert Dugoni (2014)
