  1. Wow… How did you get over your slump? I had to force myself to read when I just wanted to stare in space… I had Tours coming up so had to get veack. Luckily book was interesting so I was saved

    1. I decided one day it had gone on long enough and I should just pick up a book and try, even though I didn’t really feel like reading. A little reading here and there and I was back!
Cheers to both of us for battling out of our slump!!

  2. Glad you are out of your slump, I may go into burn out I have read 30 books now this year just about to start 31, I am trying to clear my netgalley and read all books that are on blog tours, then maybe have a couple of days off. I have to say I have had some great books this month though.

  3. I loved Big Lies! I also have Book of Lost Friends from netgalley. I’m also going to buy and read AD….I don’t appreciate being told I can’t read it….I can understand the feelings behind the boycott but it seems like censorship and I feel sorry for the author!

    1. Oh my goodness, I feel the same way about AD! I had pre-ordered the book and then all the controversy started when it came out. I feel really bad for the author as well and like you I understand the boycott, but it isn’t sitting well with me. Truth be told the whole thing has been weighing heavy on my mind for the past week.
