Book-to-Screen – Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

Welcome to my monthly Book-to-Screen post. Due to the fact that theaters all around the world are closing their doors due to COVID-19, this post will be getting a temporary makeover. Don’t worry, this post will resume its regular scheduled programming in the near future!

This month I thought it would be fun to talk about the newly released series Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng now playing on Hulu. My daughter and I have watched the first two episodes and so far we are both really enjoying the adaptation. I love Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington, so right away I knew this was a show I wanted to watch. I love how it takes on a number of issues such as – mother and daughter relationships, racial issues, social class, bullying, and more. I must admit that my memory of the book is a bit fuzzy, so I am not the best person to compare the book vs the movie. I would love to know what you think so far.

Are you watching this series? Are you enjoying it? How does it compare to the book?

Let’s get social…

Thank you for visiting and happy reading!

  1. It had been a while since I read the book, but as I watch the series, the details are coming back. I’m loving it! I don’t like Reese’s character, but if memory serves, she may find a soul somewhere along the way. LOL

    Thanks for sharing.
