It’s back – the 20 Books of Summer!
This is my third year participating in this challenge and so far I have completed it with flying colors! I have been mulling over my books and below are the 20 books I would like to read. I have no doubt that quite a few of them will be swapped out so this list might look quite different at the end of summer.
Cathy@746books is our host and the challenge is to read 10, 15, or even 20 books between June 1st and September 1st. I am once again for going for it and will be attempting the full 20!
The rules are simple – make a post of the books you would like to read and link it to her master post. If you want to swap out a book…go for it. Want to completely overhaul the list halfway through…why not?! If you decide you want to drop your goal halfway through…do it! She is quite flexible with the rules and that’s what makes this challenge so much fun!
Throughout the summer be sure to use the hashtag #20booksofsummer20.
*Book reviews will be linked as I post my reviews.

I have read a number of these and have liked most of them. I did so enjoy The Night Swim, He Started It, The Gown, Home Before Dark, Until I Find You, and Suicide House. I am anxious to see what you think of the Center book as well as the Dilemma.
Enjoy them all, Tina!

I was going to do the audio version for The Giver of Stars. That is good news about The Secret Wife. Looks like I may be doing the audio for that one as well!

Good luck. I read too slowly to do this one. But I will be reading Lions of Fifth Avenue. By the way, I refuse to read that Moyes because of the rumors that she plagiarized from Kim Michele Richardson’s book “The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek” which I’m reading right now. And now that I’m reading it, I cannot see how Moyes could have not ripped this book off.

I heard about all of that and debated whether to read it or not – or maybe I should read both of them and see for myself. I’m thinking I will probably read both of them.

Okay, so… just so you know… I went to Amazon to look at the Moyes book and read a bit on their site. It opens with this man trying to rape the main character. A scene very much like it (with a few changes, like the names and that one rides a horse, the other rides a mule) is in Richardson’s book as well, within the first 30 pages! And the two scenes play out almost totally in parallel. That’s no coincidence. Richardson researched her book for years, Moyes published several months after Richardson, and now big-time major published Moyes has the movie rights for a story that I am now absolutely certain she stole from indie published Richardson.

But that isn’t to say that the Moyes book isn’t a good read. You might like it. From what I read online, I like the Richardson book better!

Loved looking at your list, Tina, as it’s a heads up for some of the books I’ll be reading this summer.
I am THRILLED you’re planning to read Iron Lake, one of my top ten favorite series. FYI, it’s fantastic on audio, narrated by David Chandler. Enjoy💜

I have been wanting to read Iron Lake longer than I care to admit and I plan on doing the audio version! Can’t wait!!
