It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly post to share what you recently finished reading, what you’re currently reading, and what you plan on reading next. This is a terrific meme that allows you to meet fellow bookworms and find new books to add to your ever-growing reading wish list.
This weekly post is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date.

Well folks, reading is not going well around here.
Rather than read I worked on an old hobby that I have not done in a very long time!
This week I am determined to put my head down and finish the last two books I need to read to complete my 20 Books of Summer Reading Challenge!!
What I Read Last Week…
Evidence of the Affair by Taylor Jenkins Reid – This short story was all I managed to read. It is 87 pages!!!
Currently Reading…
The Royal Governess by Wendy Holden
Currently Listening…
The Silent Wife (Will Trent, #10) by Karin Slaughter
Up Next…
Let’s get social…
Love those GIFs Tina 😂

Very funny, yes quilting, kind of mind boggling.
Reading however, well I just finished the first two books in a young adult feminist fantasty, which was totally outside what I normally read, but I read it for WIT (woman in translation) month and now I will need to get the third book, which I see won a global literary prize this year. The inspiration behind the story is also really interesting!
Now I’m reading a French-Canadian book called The Party Wall, not quite as exciting, but so far so good.
Have a great week, I hope you get your reading mojo back!

I’ve only read one Karin Slaughter book but I remember loving it so much (despite how gory it was)! I want to read more of her books but have no idea where to start since there are tons! The Silent Wife looks really good (but it’s book 10?)! Hope you manage to squeeze some reading in 🙂

They are soooo good! You should start with her Grant County series. Book one is Blindsighted. The Grant County series needs to be read before the Will Trent series. If you enjoy audiobooks I highly recommend you doing that. I listened to all of them and loved it!

I have a bunch of review books calling my name and begging me to read them — but I want to finish the series I’m listening to first. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

Do you listen to audio books while you quilt? Most of my mental energy this week has been devoted to wrangling the Block Editor 😱😫 I did finish Ordinary Grace.

I haven’t tried that yet, but am considering it. 🙂

Fun post! I love your GIFs! I read a book by Taylor Reid Jenkins at some point, I think, but I don’t remember it or the title! We had two of our adult children visiting from out of state for a week, so I didn’t get a lot of reading time in, either. I’m working my way through a huge book (almost 800 pages) for the Big Book Summer Challenge, and just found out I only have two more weeks to finish it. But summer doesn’t end til September 20! I knew there was a reason I haven’t signed up for challenges in several years…;)

I have just started knitting my grandson a blanket for his bed. I did one for his cot, blue and white squares each of the centre ones with a decorative button – bulldozer, dump truck, etc. Now that he is in a bed he wants a new bigger blanket – bulldozer yellow. Went into the wool shop yesterday when I went into town to pick up a script and, you’ll never believe it, they had Cat bulldozer yellow wool!

Oh my goodness, that sounds so cute! I would love to see a picture when you are done!
I am going to be starting a new crochet blanket. I just have to decide the color. I am leaning towards gray to put at the bottom of my daughters bed in her old bedroom. She married and moved out in June so I have been redoing her room.
