I took a large part of this month off and it really helped with my reading mojo. I didn’t do a lot of reading, but some is better than none! If I am being completely honest with myself and all of you, while my reading mojo is better, my blogging mojo is wavering. At times I even considered giving up blogging altogether. After much internal debate, I know in my heart that I am not ready to give up blogging at this time. I adore the community and would miss it dearly if I walked away at this point. That being said, some blogging changes are needed. Starting in October I will be blogging less often and taking more time off in between posts. It is not ideal, but there may even be days when I will double up on posts. I am hoping this change will reinvigorate me and give me a fresh start in 2021!
Do you ever consider giving up blogging? How do you get though it?

Yay for getting your reading mojo back! I know what you mean about giving up blogging. I’ve thought about it a few times, but like you said I love being here way too much. I usually just take a small break or I change things up. It’s not that I don’t want to blog for me, it’s mostly that I get bored to always be blogging about only one thing, so usually when that happens I allow myself to blog about something that brings me joy at the moment. I hope you’ll find your blogging mojo back!

Excellent advice! I will do my best to stick around, making changes when needed! We all seem to go though this at one time or another.

To be honest, I consider giving up blogging pretty much on a daily basis and have done for quite a while already. Having to write reviews puts me off reading. 🤷🏼♀️

Glorious as ever. Always such a struggle to leave it behind. Love it there.

I get exhausted with it often too, and this year has especially been hard. Taking whatever breaks you need helps, and not putting pressure on yourself to write what/when you don’t want to.

This year has been a tough one and I’m sure that is not helping my current situation. Thank you for the advice! I really don’t want to give it up!

I’m so glad you’re staying Tina, I’d really miss you in the blogosphere! I’ve thought about giving up loads of times over the years particularly when I’m struggling with other stuff. Like you I’d really miss the community and they really make blogging fun. I took December off last year and although I missed the interaction with everyone, it really helped me and reminded me why I started blogging in the first place. xx

A whole month off is a great idea! Do you think you will do that again this year? Agreed, I would also really miss chatting and visiting my favorite blogs, it really helps keep me going!

I’ve been struggling with the blogging part for quite some time as well… I still post almost daily thanks to the scheduling feature, but it’s been hard to find motivation to keep up with the blog hopping and comments as well as social media. I think taking some time off and slowing things down might help though… Like you, I would miss the blogging community too much to completely give up on blogging.

I’m glad you decided to keep your blog but I agree, I have times when I wonder whether to continue mine but I know I would miss it if I stopped completely. I just take a break and/or slow down and wait for the blogging mojo to return!

I had a change too with my reading during September, I just read what I wanted and flew through the books. So I’m now trying to change my reading list and have a bigger mix of ARC and my TBR.
I’ve also been struggling with writing my blog and book reviews for my I think part of it is down to living with so much uncertainty and restrictions constantly changing that we don’t know where we are. I’m glad your not giving up blogging.
