The correspondence between Carrie Allsop and David Mayer reveals, piece by piece, the painful details of a devastating affair between their spouses. With each commiserating scratch of the pen, they confess their fears and bare their souls. They share the bewilderment over how things went so wrong and come to wonder where to go from here.

My Opinion –

Taylor Jenkins Reid is one of my favorite authors and when I found this free short story on Amazon I scooped it right up!

This short story is only 87 pages. It is a quick, thoughtful read. It is told entirely in letter format, mostly between Carrie Allsop and David Mayer, the spouses of those who are having an affair.

It reveals the shock, heartbreak, and anger that all come with an affair. But it also shows the sweet friendship that was born out of something so hurtful.

If you are craving some more TJR be sure to pick this one up!
