Last year I posted my Challenge and Stat update every quarter. This year I decided to scale it back to a midyear and end of year update.
Overall I am really pleased with the progress of my challenges. The good news is I am really close to completing my Historical Fiction and NetGalley/Edelweiss Reading Challenges. The bad news is that I am a bit behind on the 2019 TBR Pile Challenge and the 20 Books of Summer. But have no fear – I am confident I will catch up!

There are two notable tidbits that stood out to me about my stats.
- This year I have listened to more audiobooks than ever before. I have really warmed up to them and when I am in between audiobooks, trying to decide what to listen to next, I actually miss them. I never thought I would see the day that would happen!
- I have been focusing pretty hard on NetGalley this year because I am on a quest to obtain my 100 book badge. I might come up a bit short, but I am ok with that. I decided this fall I am going to focus on those books that have been getting pushed aside for all those bright and shiny new releases. I am so tired of saying “I have been wanting to read that one.”
That’s a wrap! I love this post and looking back at what I have accomplished so far this year. This is a pretty lengthy post and I appreciate you sticking with me until the very end!
Let’s get social…
You are doing so well! I love the idea of the historical fiction reading challenge. Do you have a favourite from the ones you have read so far?
I also love the charts. I am a sucker for bookish stats!

That’s a tough one, but I would say my top three HS would be The Last Year of the War, The Things We Cannot Say and The Forgiving Kind.
